You can build, sideload, and run your own plugin in your own Atlas today, with no approval. Sharing it with other users is curated, and the open submission flow is still being built.

What works now

Development plugins install straight from a folder and run with full capability. The first-party plugins, the CivitAI and Pinterest tools, ship bundled into the Atlas release. That is the distribution path that exists today.

What is coming

An open submission and review flow is planned: you submit a packaged plugin, it gets reviewed for quality and safety, and approved plugins become installable for everyone. Because an approved plugin runs with real trust, that review is the line that covers both whether it works and whether it is safe.
