What is Atlas
Atlas is a fast way to look through the images, video, and audio you already keep in folders on your PC. Point it at a folder and everything inside fills the screen as one scrollable wall you can fly through. Your files never move, and nothing is uploaded.
Why use it
Windows Explorer chokes on a folder of a few thousand images. Atlas opens that same folder in a second and stays smooth no matter how far you scroll. It is built for people who keep a lot of visual files and want to actually see them: artists, designers, photographers, and anyone sitting on a big reference or AI-art collection.
Three panels
- The sidebar on the left holds your folders, tags, and collections.
- The grid in the middle is your files.
- on the right shows a big preview and the details of whatever you click: its tags, rating, prompt, and properties.
Your files stay put
Atlas does not copy your pictures into a hidden library. It reads the folders you already have, exactly where they sit. Tagging, rating, and sorting change what you see in Atlas, never the files on disk. Delete something and it waits in the Atlas Trash until you say otherwise. It all runs on your machine, offline, with no account.
