Layouts & thumbnail size

Atlas lays out the grid two ways, and lets you size the thumbnails to taste. Use a waterfall to see images whole, a square grid to scan fast, and the slider to go from a dense overview to a close look. Both stick between sessions.

Waterfall
Grid

Waterfall or Grid

Open the Sort & organize button in the top bar and flip the Layout toggle:

Waterfall
The default. Every thumbnail keeps its real shape and slots into the shortest column, so tall and wide images sit together uncropped.
Grid
Even squares. Each thumbnail is cropped to a square for a tidy wall, best when you are scanning by subject.

Bigger or smaller thumbnails

Drag the slider at the bottom of the grid to size the thumbnails between small and large. Small fits more on screen for a fast scan; large shows the detail. Hold Ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel over the grid to do the same thing without reaching for the slider.
